Psychosynthesis Counselling
What is Psychosynthesis?

The Psychosynthesis approach to therapeutic counselling is a holistic way of working, which takes account of our mind, body and feelings.  It has often been described as ‘psychology with a soul’, and values the soul as the source of our psychological health.
It is part of our human experience to meet challenge in our lives, and whether it is anxiety and stress, bereavement, mid-life crisis or relationship and other difficulties that arise for you, Psychosynthesis therapeutic counselling offers a space where you are accepted for who you are, deeply listened to, and invited to step into who you could be.  Any difficulties are seen as offering potential for growth.

Through Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling sessions you are supported to discover your inner wisdom.  We use many powerful techniques to facilitate this process: guided visualisation, role-playing, and dream work, imagery, meditation, drawing and deep, sensitive listening.

A very important aspect of our work is the relationship that builds between us as client and counsellor; therefore it is important that you find someone you are comfortable working with.  I offer a safe and confidential space in which you have the support to explore whatever is challenging you.  I listen without judgment.

What can Psychosynthesis do for me?

The aim of Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling is to bring all parts of a person’s being into more harmonious relationship.  Change will occur in the personality bringing results outside in the practical world.  This is done by working for a release from unhelpful or destructive patterns of belief or behaviour, and opening to a clearer sense of purpose, meaning and direction in life.

You may find Psychosynthesis helpful if you are:

  • Finding relationships difficult
  • Struggling with childhood trauma or abuse
  • Feeling that life is dull and pointless
  • Struggling with pain, fear, addictions
  • Suffering loss or bereavement
  • Experiencing anxiety or depression
  • Wanting to explore your spiritual path

I offer daytime and evening appointments.  Work can be short or long term and can also be reviewed at any time.  As a Registered Member of United Kingdom Association for Therapeutic Counsellors and Association of Accredited Psychospiritual Practitioners, I adhere to and operate by their ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy.  All information disclosed is treated as confidential.

I am based in Kings Langley, Herts and as well as offering face to face counselling, I offer counselling over the phone. Please contact me for further details and a preliminary chat about your needs.  Telephone: 07957 418 985 or you can contact me by email: claire@psychotherapy-counselling.com
